Does this cake sound simple to make/good to eat?
I must admit that I have NEVER made a cake from scratch. However, my four-year old daughter is really into cooking and baking and wants to make a chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting for Christmas dinner.
This recipe sounds relatively simple, but I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter. (Im substituting whipped cream for the frosting BTW - I do not have the required candy thermome...ocoa mixtures alternately in batches, beginning and ending with flour mixture (batter may look curdled).
